I've also heard about it in Paris, but the locks are to 'ensure' a unity between a man and a woman...too bad I hadn't a lock myself down there, but next time in Paris, I will sure bring a lock along !

I agree, fake candles are unacceptable. There's something about a burning flame that I love. The heat, melting wax, and shrinking height.
Also, love the pictures from out and about, the strung up chili peppers and of you in the purple tunic--gorgeous!
