Some mornings are easy and some more 'flashy'...

Got myself and lovely breakfast yesterday morning ; regulars will notice the same table at the same bakery...
That morning we got some fine cappuccino, a nuts 'flute' with raisins, white chocolate paste and I myself brought my knitting work (working on scarf #2) and in the background some Mozart ...aaaahhh..life can be so beautiful !
But 'to be' or 'become' beautiful, a girl has got to suffer in life...
As a birthday present, hubby got me a package of laser-get-rid-of-all-those-hairs-you-never-want-to-shave-anymore and this morning, no breakfast, oh no...some lasering instead..
Now, I have to admit...it went very well, almost no pain, just some soft and sensitive spots, but it's worth every bit of it !
The thought I can go on holiday and never EVER have to worry about one single hair, is just like heaven to me...
It's not that I'm like a 'planet of the apes' girl underneath my clothes...(I'm a natural blonde but Diane doesn't believe that...I'll send her the bill next time I'm doing my haircolouring...)
But it's so damn bl**dy easy...I'd rather spend my time doing fun stuff than having a shave under a shower...
Eva, the beauty technician who does my 'getting rid of' is fun and while I was packed on the table she just put some fruit (strawberry) in my mouth ...haha...good service or not ?
I'm not going to harm your eyes with a picture of this morning, just a pic that I call :
'comment ; mmm, just getting hungry looking at this picture...'

Wednesday ...kicked of just fine...

And my day started so well, so healthy...
Got my last cards to the post and treated me to some small breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien...almost fell on our mayor ; he came in when I went out...after enjoying my nuts-flute ( what's in a name, but hey, it takes one to know one.....doesn't it ?), cappuccino and boiled bio egg...

On my way out this afternoon (my nanny stood me up just one our before the kids had to get out from school....sigh)
I passed this little special bookstore...when my eye caught this little number...
Was so charmed, popped in and did myself a favour...

Famous for our French fries (wich are actually Belgian) and friteries...
I was in a state and had this 'whatever' feeling at the 'fin du jour' as I sneaked of to the nearest friterie just across the street where I work.
Ordered me a mini-portion fries (I do have a conscience apparently) with sweet mayo (I know you guys don't understand us Belgians...I remember the scene from the Tarantino movie...) a meatball with onion (bad breath now, have to do something about that before hubby comes home) - cold curry (yesss) and a diet coke...
It tasted really GOOD. Didn't eat the whole lot but just till I had this satisfying feeling...

Le pain quotidien

Jihaa !! My favourite breakfast 'espace' has re-opened 3 days ago !!
Lovely to see that the shop & resto have become bigger but has not lost it's cozyness...(hope I spelled that word right ..)..
You still have the BIG table to socialize with your fellow breakfasters or if you just want peace and quiet and your own space, they added little tables for 2 or 4 persons.
Took my usual breakfast and to celebrate an extra : 1 softly boiled egg with 2 large pieces of sourdough bread...
My usual is a double cappuccino and a 'notenfluit' ->> roughly translated as nutsflute ;-))
Grabbed the local newspaper and read that Lonely Planet has rated Antwerp one of the hotspots you must see as a tourist...!!
Of course you MUST ! And let me be your personal guide to help you with that ...
