Second hand - Vintage

One of my secret hobby's has always been to go on a "queeste" for that something special and especially the old stuff...
Everybody has a secret address that they only want to share with their closest of friends...
Well, mine is Ann-vers (pronounced as Anvers, French for Antwerp) - it's a vintage - second hand shop for luxury goods...
You always have to be very quick, cause what lies in her window display before 11 o'clock, can be sold at 11.10...
That's what happened to me last week...Went for my breakfast at Cook & Boon (post will follow later) and took a swift peak-a-boo before she opened...My eye fell on this gorgeous brown Chanel jacket, just my size and I was so over the moon that I saw this one first, I closed my shop at 11 for a quick delivery (that's what it said on my door - am I terrible, an addict ?...:-O
Ran to Ann-vers and OMG, this Vicky Pollard - look a-like woman, had set her claws on that jacket just 5 minutes before me...
As my friend H. would say ; and she wasn't even Chanel worthy ....(cry baby cry)
Now fortunately I have large feet (39 for 5'4") I also had my eyes on a pair of (almost) brand new Hermès loafers...black nubuck leather...it said 39,5 on the sole and they fit me !!

PS to celebrate the Hermès loafers, I've brought home some 'petit fours' from our bakery...and I think my children enjoyed them..:-)

Style du Week

Hermès has done a 'comment plier vos carrés' -evening at their shop, and they showed us all kinds of possibilities on how the get the most out of your silk scarfs....Here's a try-out of a headband....like it or not ? Can we have your votes please ?

This was my outfit on Monday (last picture down), to have lunch with H. (yes, the one from the sweetest gift...:-)
A Chanel jacket - a bit classic but I just love the knit and the colours they used in this piece...ànd my 'difficult' Hermès scarf.
I had it as a present in Spring but because of the lenght and width of it, not practical in warm weather. It's the second time I wear it again and H. convinced me that it's a nice colour even in Winter.
So I just wear it and don't give a damn...

During that lunch on Monday at the Verso café I've talked about a very nice Dolce & Gabbana dress I have for about 3 years now, but I had it when I was quite thin...so because of the better life (a LOT of GOOD food and a good brasserie just downstairs of where I live) I did not fit properly into it anymore...
My recent loss of a stone convinced me to try it on again...
I still love it, I think this must be my alltime favourite dress, it has this Sophia Loren feel about it...don't you agree ??
