Wednesday ...kicked of just fine...

And my day started so well, so healthy...
Got my last cards to the post and treated me to some small breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien...almost fell on our mayor ; he came in when I went out...after enjoying my nuts-flute ( what's in a name, but hey, it takes one to know one.....doesn't it ?), cappuccino and boiled bio egg...

On my way out this afternoon (my nanny stood me up just one our before the kids had to get out from school....sigh)
I passed this little special bookstore...when my eye caught this little number...
Was so charmed, popped in and did myself a favour...

Famous for our French fries (wich are actually Belgian) and friteries...
I was in a state and had this 'whatever' feeling at the 'fin du jour' as I sneaked of to the nearest friterie just across the street where I work.
Ordered me a mini-portion fries (I do have a conscience apparently) with sweet mayo (I know you guys don't understand us Belgians...I remember the scene from the Tarantino movie...) a meatball with onion (bad breath now, have to do something about that before hubby comes home) - cold curry (yesss) and a diet coke...
It tasted really GOOD. Didn't eat the whole lot but just till I had this satisfying feeling...

You made me hungry! I eliminated the sweets and all white foods for a while, so you can imagine how I feel! Hungry all the time...water is my best friend now...and while reading your post my stomach started to growl! hahahaha

Sorry about your nanny...she doesn't know better! ;-)

I started to work out and the sacrifice is paying off so far, even been so sore that I can barely walk up and down the staircase.

@Alessandra :

try to do some yoga and ski-excercise on the Wii and that works pretty well 'cause it's so much fun...I try to ezat breakfast every day, skip lunch and have a light dinner but today the craving in my body was screaming !

As for the nanny, she'll be back next week -- her car broke down, last minute...:-//
Luckily I have THE best housekeeper that took over from me as soon as she could...she's a real diamond ! like you !!

What a completely fabulous day (excluding the nanny bit)! I love french fries with mayo. Shag, ltd. is a good buy, very interesting stuff on printmaking, ect. I love some of the photos of buildings in that book (cinema, coctail lounge). My god, I'm so jealous of your day.

@ JD

Well, it sounds decadent but my housekeeper has been in my life for a long time...I don't have parents anymore, they both died of cancer and she has helped me to pick up my daughter from school when she was little...Many people don't know how fourtunate they are that they still have parents that can help them out a little bit. I can always count on my Marie and that's why she's a diamond in the first place..and the children love her too...

this post made me hungry...and i just had dinner! :)

and to answer your comment...my top and pants are both black but the pants are silk and the top is a knit blend so they're different shades. actually, in the photos it's more obvious. in person, u can't really tell.
