I like to try anything I haven't tasted yet ...
In a very wide sense that is...now don't you guys get anything into your heads ; and ladies, I am REAL lady and wouldn't get into any kind of trouble...(not in public anyway ..LOL)
The fellow blogger I told you about yesterday, wrote about Postcrossing 2 weeks ago on her blog.
It's a project where you get a random address somewhere on our dear planet and with a little code, you must send a REAL postcard to this person the system picks for you.
Meanwhile, another person will be sending you a card too ...
So, yesterday, I got my first ever Postcrossing card ...with a deer on it (people can be very attentive) from the Czech Republic !!
Me so happy !
A card is so much fun to receive...ok, mails are fast and easy and a text-message can be handy too but receiving a real card, it's almost a rarity these days ...
If any among you are interested, google Postcrossing and it will explain itself...
I'll leave you wit a pic of the deer card (why a deer I hear you thinking...well, my shop is called Oh Deer!, remember ..?)

I agree ... getting things like cards is such great fun! As much as I loved all the goodies you and Diane recently sent me I was also chuffed to bits to get the little cards with them :)
Like you said, e-mails and texts are fun and I love getting those too, but there's something about receiving actual mail that is much nicer and far more personal and charming.
@GI
just got a message my first sent card made it to the US of A !!
She was very happy to receive it, that lady ...
;-))
I love "paper" correspondence, and think it is fast becoming a lost art. It's good to know there is a web-site that supports and encourages it.
The photo you posted is sheer genius, snail mail card held over web page, just great.
I agree with Girl, that receiving real mail is so wonderful. There's something about holding the card or letter in my hands that makes it so special.
I love snail mail and send it all the time. Nothing like a "real" card. I don't care for E cards at all. And texting bah! I don't feel old fashioned until I start talking about texting & E cards. ~Mary
I have become sooooo addicted to Postcrossing!
